Contents:Mrs Rushworth, singing: 1. 'Kaimiyero'(?), English ballad?. Conversation: 2. discussion about the song, her grandfather said the song is about sheep counting and sheep stealing . Mrs Rushworth's sister, singing: 3. 'By crooked paths,' about a bullock team in the bush, very brief. Conversation: 4. about songs sung at home, English songs and negro songs, refers to 'Bulletins book of Australian nursery rhymnes' (pub. 1917), did see 'Litlle Billy Bandicoot' in another book. Recitation: 5. 'Muster fluster', from Bulletin book, 'Little Billy Bandicoot', from Bulletin book, 'Little Jika Jika', 'Three ha'pence for tuppence', says this one won the Bulletin prize in the 1917 Australian Nursery Rhyme Competition. Singing: 6. 'Three ha'pence for tuppence'. Conversation: 7. about her family home on the Derwent, didn't know her grandmother, knew grandfather well, he was born 'on the Irish Sea' and raised by two aunts in England, her mother never knew her father born in Ireland and disliked the Irish, going up the river in a boat, father settled in Orbost (?) surveying, built a two storey house because of the Snowy River floods, house since burnt down, lilly-pilly trees grow wild down there, they like the moisture and not to be too far from the sea.
