Summary:Folkloric recording. Dengate recalls stories of the 1930's told to him by his father about his Uncle Sid and his mad mates and how they coped during the Depression in North Sydney, his father's sporting involvement in cricket and soccer, his childhood, his education at Armidale Teacher's College, his love of cricket.
