Summary:TAPE 1: Kitsa Pappas (Papaiokdanidis) born in the Greek village of Allonakia Kozanis talks about her early years in the village; her work as dressmaker; her family's (husband and son) migration to Australia,1959; her return trip to Greece; her grandchildren 's studies and their Greek heritage; their early years in Melbourne, Vic.; her husband's working life (25 years) in the same factory; her parents, both from Trapezounda of Pontos; her family background and early education in Greece; learning English in the Melbourne factory where she worked and the type of work she did; her wedding and traditional Greek customs still observed; comparison of her son's wedding at the Greek village with her own.
