Deaconess Mary Andrews talks about her family background, first awareness of missionaries, school life, early nursing experience and Bible Training College. She then discusses being sent to China, her experiences at the Chinese College of Studies in Beijing, learning Chinese language, culture and history, outbreak of WWII, living and teaching in China at this time. She then discusses her missionary experience in India and returning to Australia at the end of the war. Andrews then talks about becoming a deaconess in 1951, returning to China in 1985, women's ministry in the church and her current work.
