Jackie Frail, a childcare worker and Indigenous separated child, born 1960, Brewarrina Mission, N.S.W. Frail was removed with eight of her siblings at around the age of 10. She was sent first to Mittagong Girls Home, N.S.W. and later was fostered out to a white family. She describes the living conditions at the Home and her life with her foster family. At the age of 18 Frail returned to Lightning Ridge where she was reunited with her mother and other family members. She also outlines the effect of family separation on her siblings.
