Pryor, a cartoonist, speaks of his family background and growing up in Canberra, early interest in drawing encouraged by visits to his grandfather Oswald Pryor who was an Adelaide cartoonist, his education in Canberra which was strongly science-oriented but no art, how he learnt to draw figures in action, finally undertook Arts/Law at the Australian National University but eventually dropped out, his part-time jobs including Press Artist for the Canberra Times, how he travelled to Canada and worked for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, his various jobs while overseas, his travels around the Mediterranean where he spent much time photographing and sketching in the galleries and museums, his decision to become a cartoonist, his time in London spent in manual jobs, how he freelanced for the Canberra Times on his return and completed his degree at the ANU, how he undertook full-time cartooning and illustrating for the Canberra Times, the influences on his cartooning including Pickering, his developing interest in politics, how he views censorship, his work techniques and patterns.
