Zoologist and explorer. Alan John (Jock) Marshall was the founding Professor of Zoology and Comparative Physiology and Dean of Science, Monash University, 1960-1967. He was previously Reader in Zoology and Comparative Anatomy at the University of London, 1949-1959 and had a distinguished war record.
