Folkloric recording. This collection consists of recordings relating to social history, songs, music, yarns and recitations. The majority of recordings were made during 1969 when Wendy Lowenstein, with her husband and children, were travelling around Australia.
- Biography/History:

Wendy Lowenstein is an author, folklorist and oral historian. She was a founding member of the Folk Lore Society of Victoria. Lowenstein records the experiences of the working class, using these recordings as a basis for her books, which include "Weevils in the Flour : an oral record of the 1930s depression in Australia" (South Yarra, Vic : Hyland House, 1978).
