Scrapbooks of Walter Stone containing cuttings, autographs, ephemera, letters, photographs, lectures, scripts and other items relating mainly to Australian literature and authors, book collecting and publishing. Also includes scrapbooks of Archer Russell, 1912-1958 collected and added to by Stone.

Stone was a book collector, especially of Australian materials, a publisher and founder of a private press Talkarra Press and later the Wentworth Press. In 1975 the National Book Council gave him the Bookman of the Year Award. See "The passionate bibliophile : the story of Walter Stone, Australian bookman extraordinaire" by Jean E.
