- Notes:
-
- A large wall map with an attractive oriental-style cartouche featuring both eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including South-East Asia and the East Indies. It still contains some anomalies of the cartography of the time such as New Guinea still represented as a peninsula and a partly outlined island of Jesso [i.e. Hokkaido] north of Nihon [i.e. Japan]. The map is extended in the lower third section by inclusion of the eastern coast of Africa and a nearly completed outline of New Holland showing the eastern coast of Australia based on recent explorations. The inset of King George III Sound [i.e. King George Sound] shows Captain Vancouver's discovery of Princess Royal Harbour, Western Australia on 29 Aug. 1791. Relief shown pictorially.
- Built on Laurie & Whittle's Asia 1794 ed. with a third sheet added to depict New Holland.
- Imprint on map: London : publish'd by Laurie & Whittle, No. 53, Fleet Street, Feb.y 2d. 1799.
