- Map of Australia showing towns, some roads, tracks, counties, drainage, pastoral districts, railways. The map features routes taken by explorers inland, including some lesser known explorers. Relief is shown by hachures and spot heights with annotations on vegetation. In the central west the map shows in pencil annotations the discoveries, routes and details of the journeys made by Warburton (1873), Giles (1873) in great detail with a rough sketch of John Forrest's route (1874). There are additional annotations to some features of Cape Yorke Peninsula.
