Bettina Cass born 1940 in Waverley, N.S.W., is Professor of Sociology and Social Policy, Department of Social Work, Social Policy and Sociology, Faculty of Arts, University of Sydney. Her research activities include the sociology and social policy of work and welfare, comparative studies of welfare states, housing and regions, children's wellbeing and social policy. Cass is the author of various publications on Australian policies.
