Trudy McMahon was evacuated from Europe in 1939 and migrated to Sydney. She trained in Sydney as an obstetric and general nurse, and in 1948 became the Acting Matron at Peak Hill Hospital, N.S.W. She discusses the circumstances surrounding the placement of Aboriginal babies with religious organizations.
