Beaver, ballet dancer and teacher, speaks about her parents and their amateur theatricals, her early childhood experiences and education, learning ballet with Louise Lightfoot and Mischa Burlakov, dancing in Petrouchka for the First Australian Ballet, other works in the repertoire and meeting her husband. She talks about Louise Lightfoot and her interest in India and Indian dancing, Leon Kellaway and his studies, auditioning for J.C. Williamson Productions, going to Europe - especially Paris, joing Les Ballets de la jeunesse and performing with them in Denmark, the outbreak of World War II and the problems of getting from Denmark to England, the career of her partner Gordon Hamilton, Raisse Kousnetzova and the Polish-Australian Ballet, establishment of the Ballet Nationale and how it was funded, working again in J.C. Williamson musicals, the end of her professional career as a dancer, her dance school, her health, her pupils including Kai Tai Chan.
