The manuscripts of "Capricornia", the unpublished "The facts of the publication of Capricornia for the historical record", a typescript of "Poor fellow my country" and letters, mostly addressed to Arthur Dibley, written from Feb. 1935 to Aug. 1938 and covering the period when "Capricornia" was published and won the Sesquicentary prize.

Author. Superintendent of Aborigines in Darwin 1935-1936. His first published novel "Capricornia" won the Commonwealth 150th Anniversary Prize in 1938.
