- Inscriptions: "Brothers"--Lower left. "I. Campbell"--Signature lower right. "The ship "Brothers", from London to Adelaide & Port Phillip, 1850. Drawn by the first mate of the vessel Mr. Campbell."--Handwritten in pencil on backing sheet. "Elizabeth Watmuff. The ship Brothers on which we sailed from England, Oct. 14th 1849. Landed at Port Adelaide Feb. 14th 1850. Charles Brothers [Watmuff] born on board Dec. 21 1849. Doctor Headly now residing at Gipps Land [Gippsland] attended me. Master of the ship Captain Highly [Eilley, also spelled Eilly]. Drawn by Mr. Campbell first mate."--Handwritten in ink on verso of image.
