She speaks about Australian social dance; her views on music & dance; folk tradition & feminism; her biochemistry career; the defection of Russians on tour organised through Australia-Soviet Friendship Society; Radical Scientists Group; Aboriginal rights movement; the Council for Aboriginal Rights; Aboriginal Advancement League; union involvement in Aboriginal reforms; Jessie Street and other activists; 1967 Referendum; Communists and Aboriginal rights; Federal Council for the Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders; the Namatjira court case and land rights.

A noted Australian dance authority, Andrews trained as a biochemist and studied folk dance with the Borovansky Ballet before joining the Unity Dance Group. She became a member of the Communist Party of Australia in 1945 and was active in the Australian folk revival and the struggle for Aboriginal rights.
