Reverand Kay Goldsworthy has been a trailblazer for women in the Anglican church in Australia. She was one of the first women to be ordained a deacon, then a priest. In 2008 she became the first woman consecrated as an Anglican bishop in Australia. She overseas about half the parishes of the Diocese of Perth and is on many of the key leadership boards of the Anglican Church, as well as chairing the national Anglican Women's Commission and being on the boards of Anglican education and welfare organisations.
