Folkloric recording. Karyn and John Bradford are lifelong residents of the Milang area, South Australia. They talk about their early days, education and life style in the area as teenagers. Karyn discusses her occupation as coordinator of the Miland Old School House Community Centre and the community's growing concern for the lakes and the health of the mouth of the Murray River. The Bradford's mention the unity of the small town of Milang; the community Centre's role in pulling the various interest groups together; the use of music in their environmental protest is discussed in conjunction with Silver Moon, of a CD of Christmas Carol parodies; the work of the community in trying to save turtles that were dying because of the increased salinity of the lakes. John Bradford sings several songs.
