A sketchbook of ink drawings depicting various scenes of Aboriginal daily life. Includes: hunting, fighting, ceremonial dancing, Australian native wildlife, Australian plants, interactions with Chinese settlers, spear fishing, and an interaction between an Aboriginal stockman and a squatter.
- Biography/History:

"Tommy McRae is generally believed to have been a Wahgunyah man of the Kwatkwat people whose country stretched south of the Murray River near the junction of the Goulburn River in Victoria. He lived in or close to the Upper Murray all his life and was a well known identity to the Aboriginal and settler population throughout the region. During his life McRae witnessed and recorded in drawings the establishment of pastoral settler society in his country."--Acquisitions documentation.
