Marriott speaks about: early family history beginning with his grandparents; family property "Bonnie Vale"; his father enlisting in the 1st AIF in 1915 and serving in France and being blinded in both eyes by a sniper bullet in February 1917; going back to England and living in Windsor; father training in carpentry and typewriting; becoming great friends with the founder and leader of St. Dunstan's, Sir Arthur Pearson; public speaking and fundraising for blind ex-servicemen at the Royal Albert Hall London; giving private speeches in front of His Majesty King George V at Windsor Castle; that interview starting the Marriott family's participation in Australian politics; his experiences in the Palestine War; Prime Ministers Menzies, Gorton, McMahon and Holt; working on the Drug Committee; friendship and co-operation of lady senators during his time in politics.
