- Cover bears photographic portraits of Prince George, Duke of Cornwall and York (later George V) and his wife, Mary of Teck, photographs taken by Werner & Co., Dublin. A third portait of their three older children (later Edward VIII, George VI and Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood) was taken by Milne, Ballater.
- Artwork on cover depicts a Sydney Lancer in full dress uniform with pennant standing in front of a kangaroo with caption "Advance Australia and is signed W. George.
- Date of publication confirmed by advertisement for the work published in the Argus on 18 May 1901.
- Stamped signature of St. Quentin on lower right of cover.
