A collection of two embroideries and sketches made by women prisoners in the notorious Japanese prison camps, Changi and Sime Road, assembled by civilian internee Joan Hanson (later Hartley) who at the time of the Fall of Singapore in February 1942 was a 15 year old convent school student.--Information from acquisitions documentation.
