MS Acc14.123 comprises a manuscript ledger detailing the crimes and transporation sentences of convicts at Nottingham Town Gaol from 1836-1845 attributed to Governor of Nottingham Town Gaol David Musson Jackson. Entries detail the crimes and particulars of 104 male and nine female convicts who were tried at the Nottingham Assizes and later sentenced to transporation to Australian penal colonies. It also lists a further 198 males and 27 females who were not transported during the period of the ledger, but were later transported to Australia for subsequent crimes. As well as the details of the crimes in question, the ledger also contains details regarding the personal circumstances, histories and previous crimes of the prisoners (1 volume)

David Musson Jackson was born 11 February 1794. He was made the Governor of the Nottingham House of Correction on 30 May 1833. He died 12 December 1862.
