- Topographic map series of Scotland showing roads, railways, boundaries, water features, vegetation, cultivation, pipe lines, cities and towns. Relief shown by contours, shading and spot heights.
- Includes reference and index to sheets.
- Constructed on Bonne's projection on the origin of 57°30'N, 4°W. Standard sheet coverage of 48 by 36 miles, the area covered by four one-inch sheets. Reduced from contemporary one-inch maps.
- Issued in both coloured and outline versions. All sheets produced with hill shading, sheets 6-34 also issued with hypsometric tints.
- Two district maps were derived from the series: Loch Fyne and Loch Lomond district, issued 1908, and Island of Skye, issued in two editions 1932 and 1937.
