Sister Aileen, a non-Indigenous nun, speaks about her work in the Community of the Holy Name, and about the changing role of church homes. She was in charge of the Children's Home in Brighton, Vic. for 11 years, and then in charge of the Children's Home in Goulburn, N.S.W. for 10 years. Sister Aileen talks about her probation work at Fairlea Women's Prison and her court work and alcohol rehabilitation work with Aboriginal people. She also talks about two Aboriginal girls who were removed from their families in Alice Springs and sent to Brighton Children's Home, and about the psychological impact of removal on each of them.
