Frank Hurley, 1885-1962 was a photograher, writer, lecturer and explorer. Hurley's photographic work includes: five voyages to Antarctica between 1911 and 1931 with Mawson, Shackleton and others; official photographer with A.I.F. in World War I; official photographer in World War II; extensive travel in Australia and Papua New Guinea; work with the Australian film industry; publication of his work.--Brief summary of information printed on mount.
