- According to Tooley, this revision of the map includes additional information on the York Peninsula and features an exploratory track stretching from Rockingham Bay to Princess Charlotte Bay.
- Includes referenced listings for counties and police divisions.
- Map of eastern Australia (east of 130 ̊long.), considerably more detailed than his 1842 version, particularly in the region of Central Australia and inland in Victoria and New South Wales. North Australia is now named on the map along with South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. The map shows towns, rivers, counties (24 for Port Phillip and 46 for New South Wales) and police divisions. The map also features some explorers' routes and historical annotations about particular places. Relief is shown by hachures and some spot heights in feet with annotations about local topography.
