  • Summary: Winner of the 2004 Grand Prix Marulic for Radio Documentary, 'In Studio: Dreaming Transportation' is a musical documentary exploring the experiences of the cast of the music-theatre work 'Dreaming Transportation' by Sydney composer Andrée Greenwell. In 2003 a new music-theatre work was performed to acclaim at the Riverside Theatre, Parramatta. A mix of popular, folk, operatic and actor/singer voices, it creates living portraits of this country's first white women settlers. A week after the performance, the cast and creators spent two days in an ABC studio for an intense recording session of the work and for the making of this ducumentary. Composed by Andrée Greenwell. Text by Jordie Albiston. Singers: Deborah Conway, Justine Clarke, Miriam Allan, Christine Douglas and Amie McKenna. Musicians: Hope Csutoros, Jim Nightingale, Jane Williams, Kim Poole, Mardi Chillingworth, Denise Papaluca and David Hewitt. Produced by Jane Ulman and Russell Stapleton.
