Description
The Highland sports on New Years day were run by the Coffs Harbour Highland Society, of which Mr Murdoch McLean was President. For a time from 1907 the venue (opposite the Fitzroy Hotel) was called "McLean's paddock, but by 1912 the paddock had become Fitzroy Stadium. See Coffs Harbour by Neil Yeates, v. 1, p. 133.
