Description
Dark brown covered photograph album with cardboard pages bound by gold thread. The album documents in black and white photographs the cricket tour of the 15th Australian Team in England and South Africa 1921 season. Most photographs are captioned in white ink. Also includes a newspaper cutting of the death of Lord Lonsdale, the Australian team visited his house at Gothbury during this tour. Embossed in gold text on the cover of the album is "PHOTOGRAPHS". Text on the first page of the album reads "SNAPSHOTS OF THE TOUR OF THE FIFTEENTH AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN / IN ENGLAND AND S AFRICA / SEASON 1921 / BY W. FERGUSON SCORER, SYDNEY". A label on the end page reads "KODAK ALBUMS / LAUDER / No.5".
