Jim Cavill's Surfers Paradise Hotel.
- Title
- Jim Cavill's Surfers Paradise Hotel.
- Description
- Jim Cavill's Hotel was the second hotel on the site, opened in 1937 after the 1924-25 building was destroyed by fire in 1936. In later years its reputation was based on its beer garden, dining room and dance floor and the famous "Bird Watcher's Bar" but in 1952 (the year of Cavill's death) the tropical gardens and attached zoo were major tourist attractions.
