DISTRICT CASUALTIES.
DIED OF WOUNDS.
PRIVATE WADDELL- Mrs. Waddell,
of Henry-street, Wickham, has been in-
formed that her son, Private J. Waddell,
has died of wounds.
WOUNDED.
PRIVATE DAVIS.--Mrs. Davis, of 19
Junction-street, Junctiont received word
yesterday that her husband, Private Hor
bert Davis, has been wounded. At the
titie of enlistment he was in the employ
of Mr. F. MLurray, Telford-street, Now
castle.
PRIVATE WEBBER.-Mrs. ,.J. Webber,
108 Nowcomen-st;eot, Nowcastle, has re
celved word .that her husband, Private J.
Webber, who left with " Newceastlc's
Own," has been wounded.
PRIVATE COLES.--Mr. E. Cdles, of
Power-street, Islington, has been notified
that his son, Private A. C. Coles, has been
wounded: Previous to leaving for France,
P'rivato Coles wits a tolldlr in the Comr
mercial .Dank of Australia. IIo has a
brother at the front.
PRIVATE DALLAS--Mrs. V. Dallas, of
3 Porcher-street, Newcastle West,: has
received word that her husband, Private
John Dallas, has been'wounded. Hio left
with " Newcastle's Own.'•
PRIVATE SMITH.-Mrs. F. Smith, .of
Gipp-street, Carrington, received wcvd'
yesterday that her son, Prlvate W'. Smith,
had been wounded. Before enlisting jhe
was employed at Cessnock Colliery, andl
left for the front with "Noewcastle's
Own.".
SERGEANT NASH.--Mrs. Jalmes Nash,
of M'Cormack-street, Newcastle, has re
coived word that her husband, Sergeant
James Nash, has been wounded in France.
Sergeant Nash lef[t Newcastle with "Now
castle's Own."
PRIVATE JOTNES.-Mrs. W. Jones, of
Little Young-street, Carrlington, recelved.
word yesterday that her son, Private Wil
liam (Touirey) Jones, had been wounded.
Private Jomies' left Sydney In September
of last year'. Defore enlisting he was en m
ployed on the Govermnent cranes at the
Dyke. Privato Wobber Jones, the well
known footballor, who was.killed at the
front a short time ago, was his brother.
PRIVATE HUGHES.--Irs. B. Hughos,
of Tudor-streot, -Hamlilton, has received
word that her son, Private Reginald

ted to hospital in England.

ed, and admitted to the Base Hospital.

GAS POISONING.
PRIVATE HARTLAND.-Mrs. H. M.
Anderson, of St. Helen's-street, Holmes
ville, West Wallsend, has received infor
mation that her son, Private Edward
Hartland, was admitted to hospital on
May 29th, suffering from gas poisoning.
