    Mr. Seddon was laid to rest on a hilltop overlooking the capital of the colony which he had so long ruled, amid an indescribable scene of mourning. The body was taken from his late residence to the Parliament House on the morning of the funeral, thence convoyed by a short but devious route to the bill above.
