    The method of rushing an enemy trench was shown during the demonstration illustrated on the opposite page. When it is believed that the enemy has been sufficiently bombed, two men—there is room for only one at a time in the up-to-date trenches as far moving along is concerned— rush forward with fixed bayonets and full magazines. Behind them come bomb-throwers, with pockets bulging with these deadly missiles, and one ready in each hand; behind these again come men with sandbags ready to repair damage, and a relay of bombers follows behind these. ...
