    Since the executive of the National War Memorial chose the "Grange" site, at the corner of St. Kilda road and Domain road. South Yarra for the ultimate erection of the memorial the impression has been given that the memorial, which is to cost £250,000, will in some way be hidden in the suburb of South Yarra, and only visible from the immediate vicinity. A survey has been made on the ground, however, which shows that from this site the memorial will dominate the whole of the southern entrance to the city, and be plainey visible as the ohief feature of the outlook from Swanston street.
