SOME OF THE 900 DOMINION TROOPS who were prisoners of war in Germany are seen in the photographs above arriving at a Middle East port on their way back home. They consisted of wounded and protected personnel who travelled from a neutral country in 2 ships, one of which was a hospital ship. These ships sailed under special arrangements for their safety—one of the conditions under which the exchange of Dominion and Axis troops took place.
