THE IMPOSING DEMONSTRATION ON THE ADELAIDE OVAL ON SATURDAY LAST. The campaign of the Returned Sailors and Soldiers' Association for funds to erect a hall in memory of their fallen comrades was successfully inaugurated on the Adelaide Oval on Saturday last. The chief features of the function were a display of maypole dancing by children from the metropolitan schools, and the presentation of colors to the South Australian battalions by his Excellency the Governor (Sir Henry Galway). 1. The parade of the battalion colors. 7. The children who took part in the maypole dance. 8. Battalion commanders with their colors.
