    FIRST REINFORCED CONCRETE JETTY IN THE STATE. A jetty which is practically everlasting has been constructed by Messrs Stone and Siddeley at Cape Thevenard, and was opened last week. It is built of r[?]formed concrete, and is 1,180 ft. long. 1.A general view of the completed work. 2. Five completed spans, each of 60 ft. and the sixth in course of erection. 3. Crane lifting a 10-ton girder into position. 4. A narrow ca[?]son, 37 ft. long by 34 ft. deep, being launched and up-ended, after which it was dragged into position by distance frames, and sunk accurately in position. 5.
