Comprises a promissory note for £.23.0.3 sterling overwritten in brown ink 'exhibited as evidence before the Lieutenant Governor on 20 October, 1820 in the case of Lewis v. Larson'.
Background
Richard Larsom, also known as Richard Larson, was appointed Constable at Pitt Water, Van Dieman's Land in 1818 then dismissed for fraud. Died 1849. Alex Laing was District Police Constable in Sorell (Pitt Water) with Larsom and Chief Constable 1819-1838. He was an important Scottish fiddler.
