MEETING OF THE ABOVE SOCIETY WILL BE HELD IN THE LECTURE ROOM ON THE  

FIRST FLOOR OF THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OF NEW SOUTH WALES, MACQUARIE STREET,  

SYDNEY, ON FRIDAY, 31st OCTOBER, 1958 AT P.M. FRIENDS OF MEMBERS  

ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO BE PRESENT.  

Business  

TALKING BOOKS  

The President of the Blind Book Society, MR KENNETH BRUCE, will  

talk about the foundation of the Society.  

MRS H. MITCHELSON (Executive Director) will discuss the raising  

of funds and the Studio organisation necessary for putting the books  

onto tape.  

MR FRANK CLUNE, the celebrated Australian author, will make  

short recording which will then be played back to the meeting, and to  

conclude the evening,  

MRS HAZEL DE BERG will play some of the recordings she has made  

of authors and poets, including Dame Mary Gihnore, Frank Dalby Davison  

and others. These recordings are their personal messages to the blind.
