Series 1. Women's Electoral Lobby, 1972-81
This series contains correspondence, newsletters, reports, submissions, conference papers, speeches, press releases, bumper stickers and policy statement relating to the Women's Electoral Lobby. Included also are some newsletters from other women's organisations such as Women's Union Committee, Women in Management, and Women and Work. The major correspondents include A.A. Street (Minister of Employment and Industrial Relations), James McClelland (Minister of Labor and Immigration), Shirley Sampson (Monash University), Clare Dunne, Fae Ray, Ita Buttrose (Editor of Cleo), and Enid Prendergast.
Series 2. Subject Files, 1961-77
Subject files containing reports, meeting minutes, circular letters, press releases, press clippings, discussion papers and photocopies of publications.
Series 3. Reports and Discussion Papers 1970-74
Titles included in this series are 'A View of My Own', 'The Tyranny of Structurelessness', 'Women in their Thirties', 'Alcoholism amongst Women', 'The Second Sex' and 'The Haves and the Have-Nots'. The authors and compilers include Office of Public Service Board, McGraw-Hill Book Company, Professor John Niland, Mary Gibbs (trade unionist), South Australian Committee on Discrimination in Employment and Occupation, and Sydney University Extension Board. There are also two reports written by Meredith Hinchliffe.
