Copy of a diary which begins 19 April 1840 at Capecure, France and ends 12 July 1841. The diary includes a description of the journey from London to Western Australia on board the "Parkfield" and settlement in Western Australia.
Background
Louisa Clifton was the eldest daughter of Marshall Waller Clifton of Australind, Western Australia, and afterwards wife of George Eliot.
