Acts of the Legislative Council of South Australia is a Previous Series of Acts/Ordinances/Statutes - South Australia
The laws of South Australia were made by the Governor and his Council of Government from 1836 to 1841, and were published as Acts and Ordinances of the Governor and Council of South Australia. From 1842 to 1851, a nominated Legislative Council passed laws; from 1851 to 1856, this body was two-thirds elected; the acts of this Council were published as the Acts and Ordinances of South Australia. From 1857, the laws of South Australia have been made by the bicameral Parliament, and have been published as Acts of the Parliament of South Australia.
South Australian Acts were numbered consecutively in a single series from 1875 to 1938.
