- Summary:
-
The Federal Coalition is in a state of turmoil when the Queensland Libs announce their intention to run a separate Senate ticket in Queensland. James Killen, Defence Minister and Finance Minister Eric Robinson publicly clash over the issue, with Killen saying he is determined to have the measure rescinded at State level. Many in the Coalition see it as the end of life as they know it, and Queensland Premier Joh Bjelke-Petersen is keeping his cards close to his chest.--Information provided by Geoff Pryor.
