Williams discusses his long battle to develop a resort at Port Hinchinbrook between Cairns and Townsville, the process undertaken, the stakeholders include the developer, the local people, politicians, scientists and conservationists involved in a "war based on lies and exaggerations", the history of the site from its earliest clearing to local, state and federal government involvement until the drawing up of the deed to let the work begin, the proclamation by Labor Minister Faulkner, then Minister of the Environment, discusses the Valentine and the Pitman reports, emotions aroused through "lies" such as the Resort is to be on Hinchinbrook Island, dugongs and their habitats, impacts of boating and fishing, size of the development, jobs; presentation of World Heritage, the future of the Resort in the context of other Williams enterprises such as Hamilton Island and Sea World, his role as a media personality and concept developer, his motivation, discusses his tough childhood in the Depression, building up his earlier businesses, how he sees his "next dream" being circumscribed by government failures to provide firm guidelines for developments, early work with governments and semi-government bodies such as the Australian Tourist Commission, the Marine Board of Queensland, the Gold Coast Visitors Bureau and the World Wildlife Fund.
