Guttie, an Aboriginal stockman, speaks of his birth on Innamincka Station, his parents in particular their tribal names, how his mother worked at the station homestead, how his father was a head stockman for Kidman, his paternal grandfather was German, how he is the only one who now remembers the tribal language, how he played games with crows as a kid such as pinching their eggs, how his father went droving for Joe Conlan in 1938.
