Typescript of "The road to Gundagai", (2 drafts), "Goodbye Melbourne Town" and "Humping my bluey" together with correspondence relating to these books. Letters from Joan McInnes 1970 July 7 and 1971 July 12. Published form of a letter from Graham McInnes to Michael Roe commenting on "Thirk': a Tragic Australia, 1891-1959" (an article by Roe). This letter explains how Graham resumed his real name, McInnes, instead of keeping Thirkell, the name of his stepfather. Also includes his thesis "Australia and the Polynesian labour trade: a survey 1863-1913" by Graham Thirkell [published 1932].
