- See The Holy City, 1949 and cover. "The view across the transept of the Basilica from the Armenian chapel. The Basilica, which was damaged during the Samaritan Revolt AD 529, was restored by the Emperor Justinian. The architect modified and added to the original design so that it assumed essentially the same architctural form as it has today. The entrance to the grotto is by the base of the column behind the reader".
