A copy of verses written on the barbarous and inhuman conduct of John and William Smith, George Lee, and Thomas Burrows, who took their trials on Monday, Aug. 10th at Appleby, and transported for life, for committing a rape, on Elizabeth and Jane Dover, two sisters, residing on Scarsdale Moor ; The following lines have been lately written on the horrid and brutal murder, committed by three young men named Breckon, Raine and Barker, residing in the town of Barnard Castle, in the County of Durham, on the bodies of Joseph Yates and Catherine Raine, by drowning them in the River Tees, on the evening of the 9th Aug., 1845
